This might be a missed revelation, if you don’t try to read.
I was scrolling through some blogs just to kill the boredom. Unconsciously, I jumped into one technological knowledge hub, revealing the “madness” of our fast growing technology. I realized that my unconsciousness never cease to lead me to great path.
In the next 20years, technology will render many of us useless and not only that, the time we spent in school, the hard earned money we spent on acquiring knowledge, all will be rendered useless.
OK, take a look at these magnificent inventories, let’s start from here.
Software will disrupt most traditional industries in the next 5-10 years.
Uber is just a software tool, they don’t own any cars, and are now the biggest taxi company in the world.
Just imagine…..
In the US, young lawyers already don’t get jobs. Because of IBM Watson, you can get legal advice (so far for more or less basic stuff) within seconds, with 90% accuracy compared with 70% accuracy when done by humans.
So if you study law, stop immediately. There will be 90% less lawyers in the future, only specialists will remain.
In 2018 the first self driving cars will appear for the public. Around 2020, the complete industry will start to be disrupted. You don’t want to own a car anymore. You will call a car with your phone, it will show up at your location and drive you to your destination. You will not need to park it, you only pay for the driven distance and can be productive while driving. Our kids will never get a driver’s licence and will never own a car.
Just imagine the legion benefits we would gain from that. The ultimate benefit of that is, it would change our one-way orientation of we youths these days, that know nothing than to make money either by hook or crook.
Since all you need money for would be reduced due to this amazing fantasy of technology. At least the oppressions from Yahoo Yahoo boys (G boys) would go to extinct.
Most car companies will probably become bankrupt. Traditional car companies try the evolutionary approach and just build a better car, while tech companies (Tesla, Apple, Google) will do the revolutionary approach and build a computer on wheels.
Insurance companies will have massive trouble because without accidents, the insurance will become 100x cheaper. Their car insurance business model will disappear.
Real estate will change. Because if you can work while you commute, people will move further away to live in a more beautiful neighborhood.
Electric cars will become mainstream about 2020. Cities will be less noisy because all new cars will run on electricity. Electricity will become incredibly cheap and clean.
The burgeoning impacts of technology is taking place in all ramifications, health sector, education sector, business sector, agricultural sector and many more.
I won’t be surprised if robots were made to help reduce the manual labour on farms…..
May be computer ages are yet to come, all we need is to prepare for its concomitants.
#Some will dismiss it as a passing fad that cannot challenge something so well established;
#Some will shrug their shoulders in fear;
#Others will be excited by new products, as consumers;
#Others will demand action from politicians to stop the “threat”;
#Others will see it as conspiracies by unseen forces to make them poor;
#Others will start looking for opportunities that could turn them into millionaires and billionaires…
Which category are you in? Begging the question.
