Last year Is a year that will be remembered, as the whole world battled with the presence of a virus known as the Coronavirus. It took the world by storm, as a lot of activities had to be halted due to the existence of this virus, and one of the things that were affected was the movie industry. Before the start of last year, a lot of movies were already waiting in line to be released, as a lot of them were scheduled to have been released last year, but due to the spread of the virus, most of them had to be postponed till this year. And hopefully, the world can conquer this virus and people will be able to move about freely.
Here are some of the movies scheduled for release this year; *Coming 2 America; I believe most of us have watched the first installment of this movie, as it was quite popular back in the day. And the directors are back with the sequel to the 1988 film.
This is an upcoming American comedy film directed by Craig Brewer, and it is based on characters created by Eddie Murphy. This second installment is going to star the likes of Arsenio Hall, Eddie Murphy, Leslie Jones, Wesley Snipes, James Earl Jones, Shari Headley, and many more.
The movie is set to take place after the events of the first film, where the former Prince Akeem Joffer (Eddie Murphy) is set to become the king of Zamunda, he then discovers that he has a son he never knew about in America. Honoring his father’s dying wish to groom this son as the crown prince, Akeem and Semmi set off to America once again.
It is scheduled for release on the 5th of March 2021.
*Godzilla VS King Kong; This is one movie everyone is anticipating, as the trailer of this movie has been released, and it is one that has caught the eye of many. This movie is set to be released on the 31st of March, and it is one I can’t wait to watch. It is an upcoming American monster film that is directed by Adam Wingard. It is a sequel to both Godzilla: King of Monsters and also King Kong: Skull Island. The 36th movie in the Godzilla Franchise, and the 12th movie in the King Kong franchise. It stars Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, and many more. The production plan was first announced in October 2015, filming then began in November 2018, in Australia, Hawaii, and Hong Kong which went on till April 2019. It was set to be released in November 2020 but had to be postponed till 2021 due to COVID-19.
