Psychological thrillers are not easy to come by these days, especially when it comes to Korean dramas. But Orion Cinema Network (OCN) proved that it is not that difficult to come up with one.
OCN mainly specialises in horror, mystery, suspense and thriller. And they definitely messed with our minds on this one.
STRANGERS FROM HELL; When I started this drama, I thought I was prepared to watch it, but I definitely wasn’t, it just simply talks about an aspiring writer (Jung woo) in his 20s who moved from the countryside to Seoul to work for his college friend.
Due to being short on cash, he decides to rent an apartment with the least amount paid as rent. But little did he know that he would regret his decision. Not long after he begins living in the apartment, did he begin to feel like something was off about the tenants in the apartment, and then people began missing.
And then in comes the cannibal dentist, who believes him killing people is as a means of expressing his art, and he can definitely spot a psychopath from anywhere, and that is what he definitely sees in this aspiring writer, Jung woo, and he takes it upon himself to turn him into one.
The dentist and the other tenants were in on the killing, as after killing, they cooked their meat and ate together, even the land lady.
At the end, just when we think that the dentist killed the other tenants and the land lady, and Jung woo saved the day by killing the dentist.
Turns out it was Jung woo that killed the other tenants and the land lady! All these drama in just 10 episodes and 1 season, this drama is definitely a must watch. OCN never disappoints.
