Writers, journalists, activists and human rights are using everyday to preach about love while the powerful people and countries are taking the advantage of global and international medias yet they are pretending to care about neighbouring countries and continent.
We all heard about tragedic ISIS terrorism in France some years ago and how world reacted to it, the voluminous sympathetic publication about it, the condolences from various powerful contemporaries to the victims, the hype in our various social medias just to engage people globally with their unconscious unrestrained enthusiastic love during their tragedic moments, the response from every other top countries in the world were massive.
If 300 citizens were killed in France, UK, US or Canada the global outrage and news coverage would have been x50.
But Somalia mourns alone.
Almost 300 people were killed when a powerful bomb blast ripped through Mogadishu, Somalia’s capital, on Saturday. The attack marked the deadliest assault the country has ever witnessed.
Some months ago, Manchester witnessed their unforeseen tragedy, which 22 lifes were claimed, we all know how the world reacted to it, how medias and various individuals showed their love and presented their unreserved condolences. Although, there efforts, love and condolences didn’t bring back their life but the bereaved were given sense of love and they were showed that they weren’t alone.
Reverse is the case for Somalia, Dozens are missing, hospitals are running out of blood and anger is growing while the world left them in their wake.
Our words doesn’t have the power to turn back the hands of time but it can go a long way in easing their mind from this unprecedented nightmare.
