There are a lot of guys taking over their father’s home in self ignorance and stark foolishness..
Guys, 23,24,25, still fighting over 20 naira okro at home with siblings, arguing with mum why there’s Ponmo in her pot of soup instead of chicken or beef..
They wake up, tie towel, sit in front of the television and do nothing..
They have breakfast in bed, slap the sibling in charge of supper when it’s not ready in time..
Their siblings disown their existence, lie to their friends. That waste is not my blood, he’s a house boy!
These guys do little with their life, without any clue what to do with the life, they just live. Doing nothing!
They’re not doctors, not bricklayers..
Maybe they’re just uninformed with what they could do with their lives, as a fine bobo squatting in his father’s house and still loving his mother’s egusi, if he’s going to work, or go to school, it has to be made of gold..
Like, if I can’t work in chevron or school in Canada, what’s the use?
Sometimes, through obscure curtains, you see some, going fika fiki with a girl, on the dying couch his father bought with his money in 1887..
They show dominance and supremacy in a house their father inherited from his father’s father thousands of years ago..
Any slight provocation and disrespect from a sibling ends in a battering. Don’t challenge a constituted authority.
All those are relatively not painful to me, not my concern.. Your home, your family, your parents, your siblings, your discipline, your life, your future..
These guys will be thrown out into the society at one point.. Probably when the father is sick with diarrhea of this 23 year old shenanigan, he will get the waste disposal units to push that waste out into the streets..
That waste can harm someone,
That waste can kill someone,
A lawyer’s daughter can fall for that waste and patriarchy will take over.
That waste is harmful, it’s toxic..
