Selena Gomez has unveiled new collaboration with Puma. The 25-year-old designed a fresh, white sneaker that comes complete with a gold ankle bracelet and stylish window-pane style socks.
And she took to the hood of a car to model her creations on Wednesday. The stunner slipped into skintight black leggings and and equally-figure hugging vest, unzipped tantalizingly half-way down.
She explained the thinking behind the sock to Vogue: ‘I’ve been wearing some fun socks with my sneakers, and it just makes me feel a little bit more feminine,’ she said. ‘I spent a lot of time creating a sock that felt comfortable, chic, and fun.’
As for the anklet: ‘It has that chain that makes me feel womanly and makes me feel cool,’ she said. ‘It gives you a little bit of sparkle, and it can make you feel like you’re dressed up even when you’re in sweats.’
Part of the slick shoe’s profits will benefit The Lupus Research Alliance. Selena explained that she was ‘proud’ to work with Puma to help a cause which ‘is very important to [her] personally.
‘It’s been really fun to work so closely with Puma on the design of this shoe. I’m also proud to partner with them in helping to affect lives and bring attention to a cause that is very important to me personally,’ she said in a press release.
The star first revealed she herself suffered from the autoimmune disease in 2015 and underwent a kidney transplant sometime in 2017 after complications from the condition caused her kidneys to fail.
Selena’s design, which is called the Phenom Lux, be available exclusively online at Puma.com and the brand’s storefronts April 6.
Puma’s been wildly successful with their previous celebrity collaborations, having teamed up with Rihanna for her Fenty X Puma collection as well as earlier joint efforts with Kylie Jenner.
