Bayern Munich has released an official statement following the exchange of blows involving two players in the team, Leroy Sane and Sadio Mane.
Following an away defeat to Manchester City in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals fixture, Sadio Mane was said to have punched Leroy Sane.
This had led Bayern Munich to release an official statement about the incident indicating that Mane would not be part of the team for the Bundesliga fixture over the weekend against TSG Hoffenheim. It was also revealed that the Senegalese would be fined for his action after the game.
The statement reads:
Sadio Mané, 31, will not be included in the FC Bayern squad for this Saturday’s home match against 1899 Hoffenheim. This is due to his misconduct after Bayern’s Champions League match at Manchester City. Mané will also be given a fine.
