What more do we need now other than to binge-watch movies and TV series to escape from the harsh reality of this pandemic.It has been a year now since the outbreak of the coronavirus hit the world, where countries were in a frenzy just to keep their citizens safe and curb the further spread of the virus. A year is up now and the virus is still present, schools, businesses, theatres and the likes which were once under lock and key are beginning to open gradually, which is why we have a whole year filled with movie releases back to back.
*Boss baby: Family Business; also known as Boss Baby 2. After the success of the first instalment of the Boss Baby franchise, the creators of the franchise are back with another one. The Boss Baby 2 is an upcoming American computer-animated comedy film, that is based on the 2010 picture book of the same name “boss baby” written by Marla Frazee.
This animation is produced by Dreamworks Animation and distributed by Universal Pictures, and it will serve as a sequel to the first instalment released in 2017.
It stars the voices of, Alec Baldwin, Ariana Greenblatt, Jimmy Kimmel, Lisa Kudrow, Jeff Goldblum, James Mardsen, Amy Sedaris and Eva Longoria.
This movie talks about Tim and Ted who have both become adults and have drifted away from each other, Tim is now a married dad, while Ted is a hedge fund CEO. Tim and his wife have a super-smart 7-year-old daughter, Tabitha, and also a super cute new infant, Tina.
Soon enough, Tina reveals that she is a top-secret agent for Baby Corp and is on a mission to uncover the dark secrets of Tabitha’s school and it’s mysterious founder, and this will reunite the two brothers in an unexpected way, leading them to realise the importance of family. The movie is set to be released on the 17th of September.
*The Ghostbusters: The Afterlife; also known as The Ghostbusters: Legacy or The Ghostbusters: From Beyond, is an upcoming American supernatural comedy-drama, written and directed by Jason Reitman.
This will be the fourth instalment of The Ghostbusters franchise, however, it would be a sequel to the original movies written in 1984 and 1989.
The movie will star, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Paul Radd, Annie Potts, Ernie Hudson, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Sigourney Weaver. After the part II released in 1989 didn’t perform so well in the box office, the development of a sequel came underway.
Its release was delayed three times from an original July 2020 release date, is now set to be released on the 11th of November 2021.
The movie talks about two children and their single mom moving to a farm located in Summerville, Oklahoma, and when the town experiences a series of unexpected earthquakes, the children discover their family’s link to the original ghostbusters.
