I guess one thing most Nollywood actors and actresses have learnt is that most of these local movies are not making money for them anymore, but it seems like most of them are just scared of making an individual English movie like some of their counterparts are doing, such that these movies would only air in cinemas.
At least that way they would be able to make their money before those who usually pirate movies get a hold of them.
We have seen quite a lot of English movies of recent, but the two Nollywood entertainers who seem to be leading the “war front” are Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham.
So far they are the only Nollywood entertainers, both male and female, to have the mind of producing these movies that would be out only in cinemas.
So far it seems like their efforts have been paying off, as these movies that they release have been making money from the box office.
This leads me to my movie review. The movie I would be talking about is Ghost and The Tout Too, I happened to watch the first one by chance, as I was bored, going through various TV channels and I stumbled upon the first movie of this franchise, The Ghost and The Tout.
It was very interesting, and I wondered how I didn’t even hear of the movie in the first place. I made sure I was not left behind when the sequel was released, as 3 years after the release of the first one, the sequel came out.
Ghost and The Tout Too is a sequel to the 2018 Charles Uwagbai directed movie, which continues the story of Isla (Toyin Abraham) who has the ability to see and hear ghosts, and this time she is accompanied by her friend, both on and off the set, (Mercy Johnson), as they go on a journey to help a ghost resolve circumstances resulting in death.
This 2021 movie was directed by Michael Akinrogunde and it stars several popular actors, such as, Odunlade Adekola, Patience Ozokwor, Iyabo Ojo, December Okanlawon, Ini Edo, Osas Ighodaso, 9ice and many others.
The movie is a very interesting one, that would have you laughing so hard as every moment of the movie is really enjoyable, and I also liked the fact that despite the movie being star studded, it didn’t stop the movie from being great.
As I have seen several star-studded movies that ended up not being great because they all had something extra to offer, but everything about this movie was just right.
