We have all watched that particular movie, where at the end of the movie we just wished that we never watched the movie in the first place, well Rogue Hostage is definitely one of those movies.
Seeing the cast of the movie I figured that the movie would be a great one to watch, based on the fact that the likes of Tyrese Gibson and John Malkovich were in the movie, but sorry to say, the movie turned out to be a complete waste of time.
The first few seconds into the movie, you feel like you’re on to something nice, but they lost me from the part where Tyrese Gibson woke up from his sleep, which was around the 1st minute of the movie.
Every single thing about the movie was below par, except for the acting of John Malkovich, as even Tyrese Gibson didn’t do justice to his role.
As I watched the first couple of minutes, I had to double-check that my movie player was not set on slow mode, because I was just wondering, how can the “action” in an action movie be this slow?
The storyline left me confused, the action sequence left me confused, their acting left me confused, and definitely, the graphics too left me confused.
The action sequence was what ruined the movie totally for me, as the sequence looked pathetic really, and don’t get me started on the bloody scenes in the movie.
If you get to watch the movie on your TV at home, it is fine, but would I advise you to spend money on watching it? NO. Because I spent money watching it, and 30 minutes into the movie, I regretted it.
Well, let’s talk about what the movie is all about. The movie is all about a man named Kyle (Tyrese Gibson) who became torn after going to war in Afghanistan.
On getting back, his wife leaves him, and he is left with his daughter and also his stepfather who he doesn’t like. He leaves his daughter in the hands of his stepfather while they go for the opening of his stepfather’s newly acquired store, but little did they know that they would become hostages, and of course it is left to Kyle to save the day.
For me, I wouldn’t advise anyone to watch it, and I would definitely give it a 2 out of 10, as other movie critic sites are not even giving it past 3 out of 10.
