She famously played Jinx in the 2002 James Bond movie Die Another Day opposite the franchise’s star of the time, Pierce Brosnan.
And Halle Berry, 51, is now sharing screen time with current 007 Daniel Craig, 50, for their new movie Kings, set in the far less glamorous world of the Los Angeles riots.
The pair set pulses racing during one scene in the film, in which their characters strip off for an intense tryst. Getting into character, British heartthrob Daniel is seen kissing his way up Halle’s back before nuzzling her ear as she smiles her way through the experience.
However, her character Millie – a foster mother – is left disappointed when she wakens to realise that the entire moment was nothing more than an erotic dream.
The film tracks the lives of its characters in the early 1990s amid the real-life fallout that resulted from Rodney King’s beating at the hands of police offers. Halle plays foster mother Millie, while Daniel portrays her reclusive and eccentric neighbour Obie.
They’re seen teaming up during the film to track down one of her children while Los Angeles is in turmoil.
Kings is its writer/director Deniz Gamze Ergüven’s first movie in English and revolves around a South Central LA foster family during the time of the Rodney King trial. After the police officers who’d beaten King were acquitted, riots spread in Los Angeles for six days and resulted in 55 deaths.
Ergüven is best known for Mustang, a 2015 Turkish-French-German co-production set in Turkey which earned a Best Foreign Language Film nod at the Oscars.
While the film was unveiled in the US in April, it has yet to receive an official UK release date, although it is set to premiere in a number of territories this summer.
