All American
This series is the best sports drama I have watched so far, it is based on a true life story of a professional American Football player, Spenser Paysinger, whose role was played by Daniel Ezra. The series was created by April Blair and premiered on The CW on the 10th of October 2018.
The story talks about the life of Spenser Paysinger who was a football player in a town called crenshaw and was later recruited to play in Beverly Hills. So far, the series just has 2 seasons with a total of 32 episodes. When the series was recommended for me I was a bit hesitant to watch it but when I did, I didn’t watch any other thing until I was done with watching it.
Not only did the series talk about the things sportsmen face when they all want to play pro, it also talked about the troubles black Americans face with police officers and it also talks about the gangs fights in some of the neighbourhoods in America and how most youths are sucked into gang violence because they believe they can’t succeed or make it out of the hood.
Not only is this series entertaining, it is also educative as it talks about the things going on in most neighbourhoods. In the series, they also paid tribute to Nipsey Hustle, may his soul rest in peace. As Nipsey too grew up in Crenshaw and he was said to have done a lot of good things in the neighborhood.
If you’re yet to watch it, go and watch it as it is a very good series.
Is it on Netflix?
