The Super Eagles of Nigeria have failed to secure a much-needed win against the Wild Dogs of Guinea Bissau in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Wild Dogs triumphed over Eagles in a 1-0 thriller on Friday at the Moshoo Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
The win against Nigeria means that the Eagles have lost their spot at the top of Group A to Guinea Bissau after topping the group qith 6 points before kickoff
Guinea Bissau’s Mama Balde scored the only goal of the match, which set his team apart in the 29th minute of game time, taking them to seven points to top the group.
The Super Eagles continues the quest in securing a qualification for the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast next year.
