It has only been days since the Yoruba Nation rally held in Osogbo, Osun State. Reports circulating social media has been about unrest in Ife and Modakeke.
These towns are arch enemies and have an history of war in the past. Late hours of Sunday, 16th of May, 2021 was not an easy one for dwellers of Ife and Modakeke as there were sounds of gunshots in the towns. Citizens are scared and running for their lives by seeking refuge in neighbouring towns as another war might just be lurking.
According to the video circulating social media, citizens of the town were seen moving from the town in the late hours of yesterday with panic in the air. There are rumors it was only a robbery incident.
