He recently admitted he dumped Little Mix star Jesy Nelson by text, rubbing further salt into the wound by revealing he used his now steady girlfriend’s Amber Dowding’s phone to do it.
And TOWIE’s Chris Clark,23, has opened up about the vile abuse he has received online from fans of the singer, saying he has received death threats from ‘crazy’ trolls amid claims he only dated Jesy to boost his profile.
Chris and Jesy, 26, hooked up briefly while he was on a six month break with Amber earlier this year. They confirmed their romance in mid-March with a snap of the pair kissing but the fling quickly turned sour and they went through an acrimonious break-up.
Chris told The Sun that months on, he was still falling victim to sick abuse, saying: ‘Those fans are brutal.I still get the odd death threat. The level of abuse has been crazy.’Chris and Jesy first set tongues wagging when they were first spotted together hand-in-hand at the glamorous BRIT Awards in February.
They had living apart due to Little Mix supporting Ariana Grande on her Dangerous Woman tour in the US, but had so far managed to find time to see each other and make their long-distance love work. In an interview with The Sun earlier this month, the reality star said he was happier than ever since getting back with Amber and claimed text message was the only way to end things as Jesy was touring in America.
He said: ‘I used Amber’s to do it. I was never going to escape it. I had to just deal with it. She was on the other side of the world. I am happier now than I ever have been.’
Amber who was also in the interview jumped to her beau’s defence saying the break-up wasn’t done in a ‘negative way’ and that sometimes people have to be ‘selfish’.
She said: ‘He wasn’t 100 per cent in the relationship and he had to end it when he ended it and that was that. I don’t want him to ever receive a backlash from it. ‘We understand each other a lot more now. We’ve come back together and it just works
Now Amber and Chris are set to debut their renewed romance on TOWIE’s Marbella special.
As the last season of TOWIE came to a close, the couple were seen to start flirting again but they are now ready to return as a fully fledged couple and were seen packing on the PDA as filming got underway in the Spanish city.
