Top 5 artist you should be listening to
Hi there happy holidays!!!! Ok so with music still evolving in Nigeria I am very sure there are some artists you do not actually listen to well guys, these are just a few of the artists I feel you should be listening to.
5 P-Ray:
Ok, I was going through YouTube one day and I stumbled on the AKtivated sessions and I heard P-Ray, he sang the song One Day. The lyrical composition gives you nothing but goosebumps as the social message remains clear of a boy being hopeful of achieving much more in the nearest future. P-Ray’s voice makes his sound original as the concept for his song remains entirely visible throughout the entire song. This is highly appreciated because music with a social message as intent helps it remain evergreen. I think he ought to be heard as he is one star we ought to look out for.
4 Barry Jhay
Barry is not a newcomer to the Nigerian music scene, his unique sound makes him stand out. We all know his intent is clear lyric wise as he create this solem atmosphere that allows us to soften up, take a minute to be sober and also think about certain issues. Aside from his hit track Aiye O Le I would recommend Tomorrow as well guys.
3 JoeBoy
I do not know why he would not be on your list. JoeBoy puts out amazing contents. After his hit track Baby got him a vast audience, Joe boy has not slowed down his delivery in terms of amazing and beautiful love songs. He has a beautiful track with mayorkun but you should also listen to Beginning.
2 Fireboy DML
Have you heard Jealous, if not I am guessing you would have heard King then. Fireboy is a juicy blend of the Adekunle Gold style with a little touch of the Mayorkun swag in my honest opinion and with an album out topping the Nigerian iTunes chart knocking Davido’s songs off the chart, Fireboy has absolutely no plans of slowing down at all and I can tell you I am impressed.
1 Teni
I mean we can definitely not have a chart without the Hip Hop awards next rated winner on it. Teni the entertainer has surpassed the expectations of many, as she has continuously dropped hit after hit. With an E.P out she has lived up to the expectations of many. Teni maintains her feel good vibe with a fusion of her being socially aware as well. She is clearly living up to her name as Teni the Entertainer, oh and have you heard Billionaire a massive hit song.
