Janet has relocated to her former apartment before she moved in with Daniel. Everything with her seemed most incomplete since she has left her long term boyfriend whom she broke up with because of his twin brother who she somehow developed feelings for.
“Girl, what were you thinking when you left Daniel? I mean, the guy is a very nice guy and it’s obviously he really loves you.” Busola said as she was nagging Janet whose attention seemed to be somewhere else. “Janet!” Busola snapped. “I am talking to you”.
“What do you expect me to do? He was lying to me”.
“And so what?” He was lying because he didn’t trust his twin brother with you. And obviously, his fear came to pass. You’re in love with Doe. Do you know how many girls are dying to be with Daniel? But nevertheless he chose you over everyone else”.
“Busola please not now”.
“You’re such a…”
“Please change the topic.” Janet demanded.
Busola went mute for a couple of minutes. Busola is Janet’s best friend and they’ve known each other for a very long time. She is just about the same age with Janet but she looks quite older than her age because of her big pulpy stature.
“Okay. What about Doe himself, when last did you hear from him? Busola asked.
“He hasn’t been replying my text and calls, and I’m even worried about him because I’ve been hearing rumors that he has issues with Butosh. And we all know Butosh, he could kill him…” Just before Janet could finish up her sentence, her phone started ringing.
“Oh my God, it’s Doe”. She screamed. She hurriedly picked his call and from the phone she could sense fear from his voice. “Doe! What’s wrong?
“Jane. I’m in trouble and I think you’re my only way out.”
What is the matter Doe?
“I can’t dive into description on phone. Can we meet up probably tomorrow?
“Of course we can”.
“I’ll be glad if you show up. I gotta go”. Before Janet could say anything else he hung up.
Curious Busola asked Janet what the matter is. But she sat down and she kept thinking about what Doe’s up problem might be.
