Executive producer 50 Cent has decided that his Starz drama “Power” will in fact, not end after its upcoming sixth season. Except that it’s not really his decision to make.
Even so, the rapper/actor, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, wrote on Tuesday about the impending end of “Power” on his Instagram account: “I Changed my mind POWER is not going to be over after season 6. This s— is to good.”
The final season will premiere Sunday, August 25, and features Jackson — whose character Kanan died last season — making his directorial debut. Anthony Hemingway, who directed the series’ first two episodes back in 2014, will helm the series finale. But it won’t be the last from the “Power” universe for the pay cable network.
