Nigeria has announced new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Lagos and Osun state, raising the total tally in the country to 46.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced early on Wednesday, March 25, that Osun has recorded its first case.
The number of cases in Lagos have also now risen to 30, the highest in the country.
“Both cases are returning travellers to Nigeria in the last 7 days,” the agency said.
Coronavirus cases have now been detected in eight states in the country – Lagos (30), the Federal Capital Territory (8), Ogun (3), Ekiti (1), Oyo (1), Edo (1), Bauchi (1), and Osun (1).

Two cases have recovered and been discharged, while the nation’s first death was recorded on Monday, March 23.
