Ollie Watkins’ strike piled more misery on ten-man Chelsea as they search for greener pasture under newly appointed coach, Mauricio Pochettino.
Chelsea went down to ten men on 58 minutes as Gusto had a yellow card upgraded to a red after a VAR check for a poor challenge on Lucas Digne which deemed to be a controversial decision by the ref from the home fans.
The home fans booed the ref for the majority of the game.
It only took 15 minutes after the sending off for Aston Villa striker, Ollie Watkins to find the net and put the visitors ahead with his first goal of the season.
Poch was serenaded to chants from the away end of “you’re getting sacked in the morning”.
