Many would agree with me when I say this year has been one packed with quite a lot of movie releases that at times it makes you wonder if you’re going to catch up with the several movies released.
However, not every one of them that was released was actually worth watching as, while some have been great to watch, others have not been so good.
And one of those movies that have not was released this year and was not so good is the Fast and Furious 9.
Before its release, everyone was talking about how they couldn’t wait to watch this movie, given that Fast and Furious is one of the most-watched franchises in Hollywood.
But upon release, many people were disappointed, as the great movie that they thought they would get, was not the movie they got.
Everything felt just so wrong with the movie, from the absence of a good storyline to excessive and unrealistic action scenes.
The movie that was supposed to be one of the best to be released after the pandemic, turned out to be one of the most criticised in 2021.
Fast and Furious 9 is an American action film that was directed by Justin Lin from a screenplay made by Daniel Casey and Lin, the Fast&Furious 9 is the sequel to the Fast&Furious instalment that was released back in 2017, The Fate of The Furious.
This movie is the 9th instalment of the Fast&Furious franchise, and it stars, Vin Disel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, John Cena, Natalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang and many more.
Where the movie shows the life of Dominic Toretto after a few years, as he and the team come together to stop a world-shattering plot, headed by Dominic’s brother, Jakob.
Before the movie’s release, everyone was hyped about it, as we have been anticipating its release since 2019, but because of Hobbs and Shaw, which was released in 2019 and COVID-19 that took over the world in 2020, the movie was delayed.
After watching it, I guess most people would say that the movie was a total waste of time, as the movie that once had a plot, that once centered on a group of thieves who were something else when it came to driving, has now changed to something that felt incomplete and uncreative.
The shocking thing about the movie was just how fast Jakob changed from the so-called “bad guy” that he was to become a “good guy”.
The action that people used to enjoy about the movie, has become more of an issue, as a lot of people criticised the exaggerated and unrealistic action scenes.
I guess after all, a lot of people were tired of watching them drive a car from one bridge to another, as the highest of it for me was them driving a car into space to destroy the satellite.
