Jumanji: The Next Level
Released on the 13th of December 2019, Jumanji is back with a new sequel. The fantasy adventure comedy is a sequel to 2017’s Jumanji:Welcome to the Jungle, a follow up to 1995’s Jumanji by Chris Van Allsburg.
The movie directed by Jake Kasdan, was block buster as it was the 10th highest grossing movie of 2019,raking approximately 791million usd in the box office after a budget of 125 million USD. The sequel, starring actors from the previous Jumanji, the likes of Dwayne Johnson, Alex Wolff, Kevin Hart, Nick Jonas and so on, now has new actors like, Awkwafina, Danny Glover, Danny Devito and Rory McCann.
Personally for me though, this sequel is not as good as the one released back then in 2017, but it is still a good movie to watch. We can say that the reason is because the Welcome To The Jungle brought so much to the table and already set high standards which The Next Level could not just meet up to. Yes The Next Level is interesting, and funny but still not as ground breaking as the one released in 2017. I’m not saying it is not a good movie to watch, it is a good one to watch, one of the best released in 2019 if you ask me, just not as good as the Welcome To The Jungle.
From the looks of it, I’m guessing we should be expecting another sequel, because I am sure I wasn’t the only one that saw the ostriches who chased them earlier, running at the end, after Spencer’s mom and the mechanic she had called earlier, were drawn to the game. What harm could a little fixing of a broken game cause right??
Not only will this movie make you laugh from the beginning to the end, but it would also keep you on your toes, because the action never stops. And it gets even better as the players were not given the avatars they had in the Welcome To The Jungle!
