The rivalry between Drake and Kanye West is no news anymore and this extends to their fans.
Few days ago, Drake dropped his sixth album, Certified Lover Boy, and this comes a week after Kanye West’s tenth studio album, Donda. There has been lot of comparison coming from fans with major talking points on the number of streams raked in by the albums and music charts topped.
In contrast, Donda is a spirit filled album with a different sound and level of production. The album is like his previous album “Jesus is King” which was released in 2019. Kanye West was selective with his features on the album, having different sounds harmonize into an incredible track.
Certified album is on the surface compared to previous Drake’s album that had depth, hit songs and a viral sound for fans to vibe with. Drake emphasized on who he was, who he has become and who he will be in the industry, throwing couple of shades.
As expected, Certified Lover Boy has acquired more streams than Donda with lesser days on streaming platforms. CLB has the highest number of streams in a day by an album on Apple Music and Spotify
