Few days ago, there were reports on social media over an illegal arrest made by the Nigerian Police in the early hours of the day.
A certain young man named Abiola was arrested by the police at Capital Area, Osogbo over alleged involvement in a robbery case reported in Halleluyah estate, Osogbo. Abiola was whisked away in the presence of his girlfriend who claimed they were denied access to him after he was taken to the station.
Every effort to reach the police about this proved abortive before a twitter user “@InsideOsogbo” reported earlier today about the death of Abiola. Making this known, the police released a statement which reads in detail below:
