Manchester City were denied the Premier League title as Chelsea fought back from behind to grab a win at Etihad Stadium.
Raheem Sterling fired the hosts ahead after a miss control from Aguero giving him the chance to slot in the opener. Sergio Aguero was given the opportunity to double the lead after Billy Gilmour brought down Gabriel Jesus in the box but Aguero wasted the golden chance firing a weak Panenka effort at Edouard Mendy.
Chelsea resumed the second half fired up creating many scoring chances and Guardiola’s side were made to pay after a mistake by Rodri. Hakim Ziyech pounced on the chance after scoring a cross from Cesar Azpilicueta to draw a leveller.
Raheem Sterling had different scoring opportunities but both ended in a penalty shout which was declined after a VAR check. It was only 3 minutes to the end of the game when Marcos Alonso grabbed the winner for Chelsea.
Manchester City’s party has been delayed by couple of days as their city rival Manchester United will be playing against Aston villa. This will be a determiner in City’s title winner party.
