Alisson has cut short his holiday in Sardinia to jet to Merseyside for a medical ahead of his £67million world-record move to Liverpool.

The Brazil international has agreed personal terms and a five-year deal with the Champions League finalists, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Now he is set to complete a move from Italian side Roma in the next 24 to 48 hours.

The 25-year-old shot-stopper is unlikely to be part of Jurgen Klopp’s squad for the pre-season tour of America as he’s given time off following his exertions at the World Cup.

However, he should link up with his new team-mates for the four-day training camp in France ahead of the friendly against Napoli in Dublin on August 4.
