We have been enjoying these past few days, as we have been getting new movie releases back to back.We first got to watch Tom and Jerry, then Zack Snyder’s Justice League was released and then the much awaited Godzilla Vs King Kong was released.
Last year was not a great year for everyone in general, as lives were put on hold due to the spread of the deadly Coronavirus. Although the virus is still out there (don’t forget to wear a mask), thankfully, scientists have developed a vaccine for it.
Godzilla Vs King Kong was one movie that could not be released last year due to the pandemic, but it was later released this year. As on the 26th of March 2021, the long awaited movie was finally released. After seeing the trailer of the movie, I expected the movie to atleast get an 8/10.
However, thinking back now after watching the movie I realised that it was a little over hyped, as after watching it, instead of rating it 8/10, I would give it a 6/10.Yes the action, the cinematography and the graphics were definitely top notch, however, my only problem with the movie were the human characters. I loved every bit of fight between the titans, but what seemed to kill the momentum for me were the human characters.
The characters can not be easily over looked, even if you’re just focused on the action between the titans, as while watching it, you realise that nothing really interesting or captivating is going on between the humans, as instead you’re more bothered about who would be winning the fight between Godzilla and King Kong.
The script writer left some questions unanswered when it came to scenes that didn’t involve the titans, but I guess most people overlooked it because they enjoyed the action from the titans.Overall it was a great movie, but for me, it was a bit overhyped.
