Liverpool were held at home by Crystal Palace after they were reduced to ten men following Darwin Nunez’s red card midway through the second half.
Crystal palace took the lead through Wilfred Zaha first goal of the season coming from a timely weighted pass by Ebere Eze. The game ended this way in the first half.
Starting the second half on the wrong note, Liverpool’s new signing, Darwin Nunez was sent off after a moment of stupidity from the player.
Liverpool recovered despite being reduced to 10 men through a stunning goal from Luis Diaz to pull them back level in the tie. Palace stood firm in the face of the 10 men of Liverpool pressing for a winner.
