The annual Calabar Carnival is here upon us once more, the carnival remains one of the most recognizable parades not only in Nigeria, but in Africa as it is aimed to showcase the rich culture of Cross River state.

The carnival is headed by the governor of the state who also leads the parade with his custom made motorbike, this is then followed by various troupes and bevy of ladies.
