CDQ is certainy not showing you time like a pendulum watch.
It’s only been a minute since Indigenous rapper, CDQ dropped his third studio album titled “Vibes and Lifestyle”. The album comes after his 2018 album “Ibile Mugabe“.
Vibes and Lifestyle is 16-track project with a 53 minute listen. The album displays notable features from Wande coal – who appeared on 3 tracks, Jaywillz and his long time producer, Masterkraft.
The album includes already released tracks “Kogbede” featuring and “Could Have Been Worse”.
As the title of the project, the album protrays CDQ having fun on most of the tracks, putting on display indigenous prowess and versatility. Unlike the usual CDQ with the background of “Ibile Mugabe” and “Quality”, Vibes and Lifestyle is a below par project considering the lyrical depth an message from most of the songs.
Kogbede was released before the project and it was the only notable hit on the project, there were couple of other average songs. For CDQ’s standard and the name he has carved with the album, He could have done a lot more.
The production on the album was top notch, and he was versatile with his style. He sampled couple of new areas in his career, having a drill and grime beat on the project but majority of the tracks were afrobeat.
