I actually don’t think other fans had a calming and exciting covid 19 period like ARMYs the fandom of BTS who got many new records to celebrate and two full album releases to celebrate as well.
On the 20th of November 2020 BE dropped making it the 5th studio album of this talented group.
The group explained to Rolling Stone India that the pandemic had unexpectedly put several plans on hold including their world tour as well. But it however gave them the opportunity to take a step back and focus on their well being and music, with this BE was born.
This is an eight track album that us primarily POP but still manages to encompass other genres like hip hop, disco, EDM with elements of neo soul, synth-pop, R&B etc.
I could go on and on about how amazing the album is but I would keep it simple by stating that this album was “a letter of hope” to ARMYs and the world as a whole.BTS are never the ones to shy away from addressing several social issues we all as humans experience from comfort to frustration, loneliness, sadness, hope, joy etc. This is what BE offers in 29 minutes.
The achievement of BE has not stopped coming from having two of its singles top the US Billboard Hot 100 and other tracks stay in the hot 100 is an achievement worth mentioning.
The lead single Life Goes On also made it to the top 10 UK singles charts. Other countries also felt the power and BTS set new records there too as well.
Every song off the album holds a message, each song conveys a special message with undiluted puns and unexpected metaphors.
These are figures of speech BTS never shy away from when putting out a song or an album.
As the lead song of the album “Life Goes On” its message is simple and clear regardless of the situation or circumstances we find ourselves in Life does go on.
The songs and the funny skit sounds better at every single listen which is why I rate the album a 9/10. Don’t forget to light up your lives like Dynamite with this album.
Oh lastly congratulations to BTS on the Grammy Nomination very well deserved.
