This lockdown period has put the production of movies and series on hold, and as such, most of the series or movies we anticipated this year was postponed.
And as such interesting movies and series have become scarce, but now we are grateful for Netflix, for releasing nice movies, and Old Guard happens to be one of them.
Old Guard was released by Netflix, and it is one of the few interesting movies you get to watch at a time like this. The movie is popularly known, especially for the action scenes, and I got to watch it finally.
For me, the movie was okay, not too great, but good enough, the action was on point though, they snuck a bit of humor here and there, but then the story line, was just not it. I just felt like the movie plot, is the same you see in most sci-fi movies.
A scientist or a group of researchers find out that there are people with special powers or abilities, they try to get a hold of them, in order to analyze how they got their special power, and how they can “change the world” with such powers.
I was just waiting for the part where they would do something different from the usual storyline, but I guess all they had up their sleeves, was the part where they were actually not immortal, the part where they find out they can actually die, when their body just stops healing.
And apparently we might just get a part 2, as someone they all thought had died, came back at the end of the movie. The movie is worth watching, but it would not keep you at the edge of your seat, wanting to see what will happen next.
