American rapper, Willie Maxwell II, popularly known as Fetty Wap, has been sentenced to six years in prison for drug trafficking.
Fetty Wap was initially arrested in October 2022 in New York, where he was billed to perform at the Rolling Loud Festival. He was denied performance after Federal agents pounced on him and charged him with one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances.
He was released on bond then later, he was arrested after he was said to have displayed a gun and threatened to kill someone during a call in 2022.
In an update of events, Fetty Wap, who was charged with five other men in the drug trafficking syndicate, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute over 500 grams of cocaine, which has earned him a six-year sentence in federal prison.
According to reports, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York claimed that Him and his clan allegedly “distributed more than 100 kilograms of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, and crack cocaine across Long Island and New Jersey.”
