Number one trending album in Nigeria, Blaqbonez’s debut album is all you need at this moment.
With features from Nasty C, Joeboy, Amaarae, Buju, Laycon, Psycho YP, Tiwa Savage, Badboi Timz, 1da Banton, Superboy Cheque and A-Q, the album really lived to expectations. I had two options after checking “Khaled Khaled” album, either “Shall We Begin” by Laycon or “Sex over Love” by Blaqbonez, I chose Blaqbonez because of my love for rap, hoping for awesome sounds and i wasn’t disappointed.
I had couple of songs in mind after checking the tracklist, Heartbreaker featuring Nasty C. I’m a fan of Nasty and i was looking forward to the fusion between two of them. I was not disappointed by the track, the tune was genuine and it wasn’t the reguar african hip-hop vibe. The track is a 7.5 from me.
I was also looking forward to the track featuring Superboy Cheque, “Bestfriend”. The track shows an insight about having fun with your bestriend and enjoying the best of life with your bestfriend after all the hustle together. Superboy was super on the track and Blaq’s flow was tight as usual.
Already released tracks like BBC featuring Tiwa gracing the allbum increased it’s value as the track was a hit when it dropped and it was topping charts with lot of streams to join.
Zombie featuring Laycon, Psycho YP and A-Q was an awesome mix. The song gave me the trap feels and they all bonded well that they sounded as one. The hype for Fendi featuring Joeboy was high but i felt disappointed about what i got, though it is a feel good song but it wasn’t what i expected as it delivered a 6/10 rating in my opinion.
“Never Been In Love” is another track on the album i’ll recommend. The album is a solid one which is still ranking number 1 in Nigeria’s top album and i will give it a rating of 7/10.
