On the 4th of October, a case involving Abubakar Atiku and Bola Tinubu over his Chicago State University Certificate had a deposition hearing.
The October 4, 2023, oral testimony showed that Mr Tinubu violated Nigeria’s Constitution and is in legal jeopardy of having his presidency terminated and also disqualified from future presidential elections in Nigeria.
It followed a fierce court battled by Atiku Abubakar in the United States having staffs from Chicago State University coming under oath to aauthenticate the certificated submitted by Bola Tinubu to INEC on his Presidential Nomination form.
Section 137 (1)(j) of the Nigerian Constitution (amended in 2010) specifically stated that no one would be legitimately elected president of Nigeria if the person “has presented a forged certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission.”
