Most people find it relatively odd when you show your interest for animes. They question your sanity and even doubt if you exist in the real world. To say I did not experience this sort of branding or misconceptions would be me just lying and trying to sugar coat things.
When it comes to Anime, I just watch based on people’s recommendations because you can not always get it right with anime.
I have this friend who recommendations anime to me, and he recommended that I watched Assassination Classroom.
From the name alone, I wasn’t all that excited about watching it, but after much persuasion, I finally started it.
With like 2 episodes into the anime, I was about to call it quits, till I began to understand what the anime was about in the 5th episode and once I did, I was so hooked till I watched the final episode of the anime, which I think I completed within 3 days.
It even had me in tears at the end, Assassination class is a Sci-Fi comedy manga series written and illustrated by Yusei Matsui.
This anime talks about the daily life of an extremely powerful octopus-like being working as a junior high homeroom teacher where his students are dedicated to the task of assassinating him to prevent the earth from being destroyed.
Where the students are considered “misfits” in their school and are taught in a separate building; the class he teaches is called 3-E and helps these misfits become a better version of themselves.
This anime series was told in a first person narrative with the chief narrator being, Nagisa Shiota, one of the students in the class.
You can say he had a different goal in mind from the very beginning, as a bounty had been put on the sensei’s head but after the guidance and tutorials from this Koro-sensei he moves from being one of the weakest in the class to one of the best assassins.
Anime goes beyond cute graphics and funny story lines, Assassination classroom explains that with its intelligent storyline.
A storyline that centers on the importance of friendship and the importance of trust in any sort of relationship. I rate this a 7.5/10
