Nigerian international striker, Kelechi Iheanacho is currently undergoing medicals at Leicester for his record £25million move to Leicester.
According to Sun UK, the Nigerian, 20, will become the Foxes‘ fourth signing of the summer with the deal ending a long-running transfer saga. The 2015-16 Premier League champions have had a fee agreed with City for the past fortnight. But a legal battle between the striker’s former and current agents over image rights held the move up.
The dispute has now been resolved and Leicester have the green light to get their man – with Riyad Mahrez seemingly on his way to Roma. It will take Craig Shakespeare’s summer spending past £57m. The Foxes boss has signed goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic, defender Harry Maguire from Hull and defensive midfielder Vicente Iborra from Sevilla.
Iheanacho, who formally signed for City on his 18th birthday in October 2014, has scored six times in ten appearances for his country. But he was mainly confined to a supersub role at the Etihad.
