Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and his wife, Edith Okowa, have both tested positive to COVID-19. The Governor made the disclosure on his Facebook page on Wednesday morning.
He said:
“My wife and I have tested positive for COVID-19. We are well and continuing with our isolation/medication. We thank you all for your continued prayers for us and our daughter.”
Delta state, however, in total has recorded 912 cases of COVID-19.
The Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu, and the Secretary to the State Government, Chiedu Ebie, had earlier tested positive for COVID-19. The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Olisa Ifeajika, who made this known in a statement in Asaba, named the officials as Secretary to the State Government, Mr Chiedu Ebie, and Commissioner for Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu.
